The Master of Science in Industrial-Organizational (I-O) Psychology is an educational degree program that provides a foundation of knowledge in the field of I-O Psychology. This program does not prepare students for any type of professional certification or licensure as a psychologist.

Our online psychology bachelor’s degree programs can prepare you for careers in communications, human resources, marketing, and media while our online psychology master’s degrees equip you with skills to work in management, human resources, talent management and organizational development. You’ll also be able to apply psychological principles to address personal, social and organizational problems.

No. Our programs do not prepare students for any type of professional certification or licensure as a psychologist, counselor, or other mental health practitioner.

Our online psychology degree programs are aligned to the American Psychological Associations’ standards for undergraduate and graduate degrees. Additionally, our Bachelor of Science in Industrial-Organizational Psychology and Master of Science in Industrial-Organizational Psychology are also aligned to the educational standards set forth by the Society for Industrial and Organizational Psychology. 

As a general rule, any Bachelor of Science degree is always more robust in its sciences courses often including mathematics. On the other hand, a Bachelor of Arts degree focuses more on the theoretical approaches of a field. University of Phoenix does not offer a Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology.
